Hey! Holla is excited to announce a collaboration with with Barreworks, the UK’s longest standing dedicated Barre and Ballet Studio based in Richmond, South West London.
If you work or live in South West London / Surrey be sure to add Barreworks to your weekly workout regime and we predict a killer core and perfect posture won't be too far away!
These guys are the real deal, founder and owner, Vicki Anstey originally trained in the Lotte Berk Method, established in the 70’s, and has updated and enhanced the workout with influences from New York City Ballet as well as other progressive ballet programmes to create the unique Barre Methodology.
Barreworks boasts some of the best Barre and Ballet Instructors in the industry, the team consists of home-grown talent from nearby Royal Ballet School, English National Ballet and The Royal Ballet Company and the team also carry a depth of experience in pilates and yoga teaching and strength & conditioning training.
We are proud to have worked with Vicki to bring this inaugural capsule collection to fans of Barre and ballet based exercise, featuring organic ring spun cotton racer back vests, perfectly practical pouches to keep your grip socks or beauty bit in and super cute hair ties to keep your tresses at bay.
Here the Barrework's team give us the lowdown on their studio and what vibe you can expect down there!
Tell us about how the Hey! Holla x Barreworks Collaboration came about...
Our recent collaboration with Hey! Holla has been an exciting (and much anticipated) project! We approached Hey! Holla with the idea of doing a bespoke Barre Collection using their clever slogan designs with subtle Barreworks branding. Our clients have a strong sense of community at the Studio and we wanted to offer a way for them to wear the brand and be proud of their hard work at the barre, we think the slogans reflect just how tough (but fun!) our WorkOuts are!
Why should people hit the Barre at Barreworks as opposed to anywhere else?
Our methodology is totally unique. It is also so broad in repertoire, that we promise you will never do the same class twice. We keep class sizes small (11 people maximum) to ensure you receive close-hand supervision and correction. Our Barre (Barreworks) WorkOut focuses on strength building, using body weight and small (but deadly!) exercise props and aids.
Our Ballet WorkOut is a version of a classical Ballet Class, this is how dancers train for the stage and our Instructors are current and former Ballet Professionals. Our Barre Fusion WorkOut is a magical blend of barre and yoga-influenced flowing sequences. We train you to slow down through your movements, encouraging strength in held postures, enhanced flexibility and posture.
You are literally learning from the best in the business and everything we do has its roots in ballet movement and conditioning our instructors have high level training in Anatomy & Physiology, strength and resistance training and safe practises in exercise through pregnancy.
What's the Barreworks vibe?
Our music is central to the flow of every class we offer. Upbeat, funky tunes carry you out of your ‘comfort zone’ and into your ‘work zone’. We mix this with classical ballet scores and mellow, restorative tracks for cool downs and relaxation.
How do you keep members motivated?
Our Monthly Subscription is the best way to get the most out of our training programmes. You get unlimited access to every class on the schedule, plus perks, free membership and promotional access to our Online WorkOuts.
Any special events coming up?
We always put out great offers in January to motivate clients (and new-comers) post-Christmas. Watch this space!
